Operational notification #56: Road safety on Port Drive

For the safety of roadworkers and other road users, motorist are reminded to drive to the road conditions, obey signage and adhere to speed limits.

The speed limit has been reduced to 50km/h, north of Ampol Bridge on Port Drive, for the safety of motorists as vehicles transition between the new and old road alignments.

Near the Kite Street roundabout, the speed has been reduced to 40km/h for the safety of roadworkers and motorists as this where construction vehicles enter and exit the work site.

Electronic variable message signs and/or fixed signs are in place to advise motorists. Queensland Police Service (QPS) will be patrolling the area to enforce road safety.

We thank you for your patience while this important work is ongoing.
